God will supply

Just a few iPhone pics & verses that I am frequenting this week.
___

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.  Philippians 4:19

The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.
Psalm 28:7
If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him!
Matthew 7:11

Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will not pass away
Luke 21:33

Consider the ravens: they neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouse nor barn, and yet God feeds them. Of how much more value are you than the birds!
Luke 12:24

Much is still packed and out of order in our new home. I will someday find the energy and interest to get fully unpacked. But for now, we are enjoying our new little home together and thank God for how he has provided each and every time for us. And now, back to work for a week! Oh, how I love my weeks off. But I also love what I do and am so glad that I get to spend my long nights caring for new Mamas, daddies, and sweet newborns.
Thanks for coming to visit Sweet Caroline!

Watch out Portland

(Not my bike. Just a flashy one I saw on a walk one day.)

Watch out Portland... I've ventured onto the roads as a biker. Literally, watch out. Whew! I had my first Portland bike ride this week (6.5 miles! Checked off another item from my summer to-do list) and it started off in a rather exciting way.

My ride included being forced to stop by an old man pedestrian (as he walked right in front of my bike) and being the recipient of lots of angry yelling.

"What on earth makes you believe that you can ride your bike on this side of the path??"

I respond, "I'm just following that other biker; sorry I didn't know."

He continues to yell... right in my face....

Thanks dude, I got it.... Sorry...

There are serious rules to this whole biking thing. I need a manual or seminar or something. For reals!

Portland Farmer's Market

One of the best parts about living in the city is being so close to fun things like Saturday Farmer's Markets. Even better: free public transportation. Thank you Portland for having so many transportation options. And, for never failing to deliver endless entertainment on your busy streets. I love people-watching and could probably do it for endless hours every day.

Jon, Andrew, & Brandon enjoying pine state biscuits. So yummy!

This guy is not only crazy, but more-so, incredibly creepy... See what I mean about endless entertainment on the streets of Portland?

Beautiful family -- sorry for the blur!

I look forward to more Saturday farmer's markets this summer! Do you have a favorite farmer's market buy? I usually feel overwhelmed and end up leaving with just photographs on my camera and nothing purchased. Maybe that's for the better...

Fun Day Monday

Fun-day Monday:

After sending Andrew off and my morning workout, my day started off with a street car ride to a Starbucks in NW Portland. Spent some time writing some letters to friends and family and couldn't pass up the chance to eat my favorite Sbucks treat. CHONGA bagel. If you haven't tried it, you need to! The perfect lunch or breakfast or anything else you want it to be. Unfortunately, it's a few more calories than I'd like. That's why it is a treat!

I couldn't help but sneak a photo of these three ladies. Notice all of them are wearing navy and white striped shirts! I chuckled when I saw this and did my best to be sneaky while photographing them.
Stopped by a lovely floral shop (Sammy's flowers) and bought these pretty flowers for a special birthday mother of mine. Looking forward for a Portland adventure day with my sweet mom tomorrow. I also have a new dream hobby to someday maybe pursue. I want to take flower arranging classes! I found classes in Portland and will be keeping my eye out for one I can attend.
Caught the street car home just in time before it got busy for rush hour.

Then I met my dear friend Kaitlyn at an authentic Mexican Taqueria. From the atmosphere to the food, you truly feel like you are in Mexico when eating here. Their chips and guacamole are my favorite. I am going to attempt to make similar chips out of my homemade tortillas.  Por Que No? is definitely a place to try if you are in NE Portland.

Couldn't resist getting some ice cream to end our evening.
See you tomorrow Mom! Looking forward to more adventures and a spontaneous day with you!
