17 Weeks | Baby Reyna

17 weeks pregnant here and enjoying the snow! Our little one is growing strong at 5 inches in length and about 5 ounces in weight. A highlight of the week included that I've started feeling the little babe move! Subtle, sweet movements that I sure am treasuring. Andrew tried playing music on my belly and that is when I felt babe move the most! Maybe we have a little dancer in there. Dad, you'd be proud, our music choice included some Andrea Bocelli.

These photos (taken over the weekend) aren't quite fair because I woke up this morning with quite the little surprise pop of a baby bump. Maybe I need to start thinking about some maternity clothes! I'm still feeling well over all, though, unfortunately have more food aversions than food cravings at this point. I'm hoping this will continue to get better with time. I go through fruit, eggs, and milk like crazy and am thankful to have the best scrambled egg chef of a hubby by my side.

We praise God for each and every day of pregnancy, for overall good health, for safety, and for the wonderful support we have in friends and family. Most of all, I praise Him for faithfulness, for provision, and for the blessing of a loving husband. How I can't wait for Andrew to get to hold our baby, to feel his/her movements, to see his/her sweet face.

Happy Valentines week, my littlest love!

Awesome & Awkward

Awkward
  • Setting the smoke alarm off in our apartment 2 nights in a row before work. Oops!
  • Feeling like I'm on reality tv with some of my patients these past few weeks. If only I could divulge more... Sure keeps things interesting. That's all I'm going to say.
  • A bold slew of birds (this one pictured above was part of the clan) who grabbed Andrew's sandwich out of his hands during our snowshoeing day. They were i.n.s.a.n.e. & had zero reservations. Ruthless.
  • The left over mashed potatoes that stayed in our fridge for one month too long... did that just make you gag, because I definitely did.
  • One of my patients interrupting "bedside RN to RN report" to ask how old I am. Rudely, might I add. That sure put me in a great mood at the start of a shift. Not.
Awesome
  • Dance parties with Andrew... they make getting the house cleaned so much more fun
  • Breakfast dates with sweet friends
  • Car shopping... except my eyes are bigger than our budget...
  • Paying off my school loans!!! Feels so good!
  • Grapefruits.... I'm literally obsessed- Can't get enough. NINE for $3. Thanks Freddies. Yeah buddy.

Pom

I ate my first actual pomegranate the other night.  I know, I know... far over due. Eating one/cutting one is quite the process (we did it slightly wrong).

Anywho, the pom was thoroughly enjoyed as was the hour and a half it took to put together our new Ikea chair. Not. That's what husbands are good for right? Ikea is dangerous..... d.a.n.g.e.r.o.u.s.s.s.s.s.ssss... I always spend far too much. With only a couple of screws wonky, we're hoping the chair doesn't collapse. Time will tell.

In other news, during my "week" at work, I'm dead to the world. Gone. Absent. Forget about responding to emails, paying bills, oh please... getting any chores done? Psshhh. There are definite perks to working 12 hour shifts- and even more perks to being young enough to pull off working them all scrunched back to back and getting long stretches of days off- but there's no doubt a price to pay. And on that note, after a long night's work, I'm off to sleep!

Wait, I worked all night and I'm writing blog posts when I have to work again tonight? Does that mean this post contradicts everything I just said? Nope, it was a scheduled post written a few days ago. Fooled you :)

Do you work an 8-5 job? split shifts? night shifts? 10 hour shifts? 12 hour shifts? I always thought that grown-ups just worked 8-5 jobs because that is what I grew up knowing as a youngster. Little did I know the variety of occupations and schedules that a grown up could have & enjoy. I just didn't think that person "working night shift" would be me. Ever. But it is. And I love it.

Most of the time...

PS- I love my macro lens. We're besties.

Awesome & Awkward

 Awesome & Awkward

Staying up until the wee hours of the morning because our bedroom smoke alarm is out of batteries and wired to alarm throughout the apartment complex if we tried to take it apart... consequently, we ended up snuggling up on our guest twin bed trying to block out the high pitched BEEEEEP and sleeping in until noon... ok, I slept until 3 but then went to work all night, I promise!

One of my patients hating me because every time I walked in her room, her baby started whaling... "How are you doing?" "Fine until you walked in...". Those were her words! Eeeeek!

Enjoying a pizza-making-feast for my brother-in-law's birthday. It was my two favorites meshed into one- arts & crafts and eating! Yum!

Literally falling out of my chair at the nurses station. Only my preceptee nursing student saw. That's right, Ashley, follow my lead! Oh, I forgot to mention there are cameras all over our unit. Super Nurse right here!

Getting to use my parent's vehicle for a few weeks- I feel like a soccer mom except without the whole being a mom part... Gotta work on that :/

Feeling blessed with some amazing friends this week. So thankful.

Holding little Isaac (7month old cousin that I help watch) and squating down to pick up something I dropped..... but ending up on my bum.... in the parking garage... I don't think anyone saw. No one was hurt.

One of my patients insisting that the photo on my badge was not me. "Looks absolutely nothing like you" as she stares back and forth between my face and my badge. I guess working nights has morphed me into someone else.

Meeting up with my brother for a 30 minute overlap at the airport. Listen up single ladies, he's a stud.

Just a few more days of class for Andrew until a little winter break.... cannnnnnot wait....

Awesome & Awkward

 Awesome
  • It's finally boot & scarf weather and I love it
  • Watching the entire 1st season of Homeland in a week with the hubs... so good
  • The oreos that I bought for Andrew, but secretively bought for myself... I've eaten far more than he has. Shhhh....
  • Weekly play dates with our baby cousin Isaac. If you follow me on instagram or facebook, you know how ridiculously adorable he is
  • Our Sunday morning marriage class at church- really challenges us to discuss and pray about applicable and important things
  • The insane amount of pie we've had in our fridge over the past 2 weeks. Whew!
Awkward
  • Rolling my ankle at the crosswalk while leaving from work. Don't worry, there were only a few people behind me and just 1 car at the crosswalk. Smoooooth
  • Trying to console a fussy, tired, yet oh so sweet 5 month old in a strategically chosen aisle at the grocery story (the baby/diaper aisle- hoping for sympathetic moms who understood). Poor baby fell asleep shortly after and slept the whole way home. No sympathetic moms- just an abandoned aisle
  •  The fact that I'm wearing all black with a brown purse in the pic above... hence the black and white photo to cover it up
  • Trying to speak Spanish with my patient and calling blood "sangria" instead of "sangre"... She probably would have preferred some sangria after delivering a baby and was super confused why I was asking about it. Oh boy, I have a lot to learn
  • Being the youngest in that Sunday morning marriage class by at least 10 years... Most are probably in their 50's. Never too early to make our marriage a priority and learn ways to keep it that way

amputation

I have new material for those "introduce yourself and say a random fact about yourself" ice-breakers! While at the doctor's office, the physician looked at me quite confused & asked if I had any significant health issues. When I answered no, he said, "Ok, I was trying to be discrete, but do you have an amputation somewhere? Am I missing something? Your chart says you have an amputation. I see normal limbs, fingers, & toes..."

I displayed my proper limbs and assured him that it must be an error in my chart. Maybe I should get that fixed? Or maybe I should keep it and just confuse people. Ha... highlight of my day!

Awesome & Awkward

Awkward
  • The old scruffy-looking man at Starbucks that very confidently stated, "It's okay. I'm 82. I can look at you girls..."   Ummmm.... excuse me? "And with that, I'll leave..." as he gets up and walks away.
  • Riding in elevators with people at our apartment... why can't people just smile and say hello? So awkward...
  • Catching myself singing out loud with earphones in at a coffee shop. Oops!
  • While at a delivery a while ago, I said, "Wow, a red head! He's precious!"... and the new mom said something along the lines of, "Ohhh nooooo, it'll wash out right? Noooo." Interesting response...
Awesome
  • A full beach weekend with best friends from college. It's so nice to reconnect and reminisce!
  • Getting my rings cleaned. So sparkly! Working as a nurse does a number on my poor rings.
  • Photographing this lovely gal
  • Getting to work in the ridiculously beautiful brand new children's hospital for the a while (temporary move for our unit). Get ready to see some Portland skyline pics over the next few weeks.
  • Having my hubs home & enjoying the last 2 weeks of summer with him. (We enjoyed trips like this one, & this one)
  • Checking things off my summer do to list...  (Now that I know more about this great city, I'd add much more to the list. Working on a favorite Portland spots list...)
  • Looking forward to visits from 2 very special people next week and the week after. Can't wait!
  • My Birthday is next week! 24... feeling old right now

Bolt time!
Happy Friday! Have a great weekend!

Awesome & Awkward

Awesome
  • A Monday night delicious picnic dinner at the park with friends
  • A few hours spent with my favorite little man, Isaac
  • Hearing Andrew talk on the phone about a "fun" activity that he successfully completed at Air Force Officer training... can't wait to hear more and see him soon!
  • THESE amazing cookies from Christine over at Apartment 46
  • Expecting the worst at a dental appointment (because it's been years) but getting great news! No cavities!
Awkward
  • Crying alone in the ophthalmology exam room at a 2 hour long eye appointment. I was starving. The tech was rude. I'm practically blind. I'm emotionally exhausted. And, I miss my best friend like crazy...
  • Showing up to a mini photo shoot smelling like baby spit up (Thank you sweet Isaac)
  • Realizing that I've nearly emptied my husband's drawer of t-shirts. Wearing his shirts is the closest thing I can get to a hug...
  • I've also completely taken over his side of the bed...
  • Taking out the trash and gagging all the way down the hallway to the trash shoot... thankfully no one was in the hallway to see me

Awesome & Awkward

AWESOME
  • New addition to the family! Baby Isaac- he's incredibly adorable and is such a blessing. Welcome to the family baby cousin!
  • Learning a lot at work this week by caring for some very sick newborns. Having awesome staff members that are incredibly helpful is always a bonus. Though I love caring for these little ones, I love it more when NICU can come save the day!
  • These new picture shelves & my new "Jenna corner."  (Organized chaos? What do you think?)
  •  Fro-Yo date with my brother & Mamaw (in Oregon for the summer from Iowa & Texas).
  • Snuggling with my hubby.
  • Beautiful weather for over a week... hello sunshine, welcome to the NW! We're thrilled you're here!
  • Hearing my Mr. talk about all he's learning in med school. I love his passion & excitement. More-so, I couldn't stop smiling when he told me about his "elder-care" visit this week and the kind lady he got to know. My husband has such a sweet spirit & kind heart. Seriously, how many men would enjoy talking with an old woman from a nursing home and not stop talking about all he learned from her (following HIPAA of course, no worries!).
AWKWARD/BUMMER
  •  Feeling jetlagged every day of my life...working nights and having absolutely no consistency seriously puts a damper on my overall health. Constantly fuzzy headed, frequent headaches, fatigue...  ick.
  • Filling out a bank slip 4 times (I messed up that many times) before the bankteller had to take over and do it for me. Yeah, that whole fuzzy headed thing.... kinda scary/getting ridiculous and obvious to others! Oh, did I mention the bankteller was a good friend? Hey Matt- thanks for taking over and being understanding!
  • As one room gets cleaned up- another fills up with junk/laundry/stuff to clean & organize. I like to trick myself into thinking the apartment is clean... until I walk into that other room & am outed by the piles staring back at me. It's been 6 weeks in our new place- you'd think we'd be all settled in & organized by now!
  • My sunburn from 3 weekends ago... Someone from work said, "Oh, you're sunburnt! When I saw you yesterday, I thought you were just really anxious & nervous." Ha... awesome...

 Pre-photo shelf "Jenna corner"
I'm not sure if I like it better now or not. However, with the new photo shelves- I can interchange photos & mix things up, which I like!

Swords & Suspenders

Awkward & Bummer
  •  Andrew had a presentation this week. He wore suspenders & a polka-dot tie. Then he informed me that he may have also worn a cowboy hat... Then I found swords near his backpack. I hope it ended there. Since when did swords, suspenders, & cowboy hats coincide with med school? I did appreciate the sword lesson he gave me though.
  • Lady in white pants biking to work... in the pouring rain = black bike seat stain imprinted up her behind. Classy.
  •  Not seeing Andrew for 2 days because of our opposite schedules. Missing our usual 30 minute dinner overlap before work. Thankful for sticky note love messages left on pillows & text updates.
  • Mixing up my left and right with a patient at work. Duh Jenna,  Anatomy 101... Embarrassing.
  • Getting the oil changed after working a 12 hr night shift and a morning meeting. The guys were cracking up at me. I couldn't correctly turn on my lights- that's what the auto setting is for! "Open the hood? Umm... hold on, let me find the switch..."  The list goes on... Hello ditz city.
  • Dreaming that my hubby birthed our 1st baby. Weirdest dream to date. Except, I cried because I was so proud of him. Unfortunately our baby was very small (SGA for my nurse friends). Andrew was very upset and disappointed in himself- then he told me I didn't feed him enough (which is probably true). He also thought it was weird to be bleeding so much. Welcome to womanhood honey. Anyways- we had a mini-Andrew clone; squirmy and all. So strange... No, we're not pregnant. I promise!
  • Dear yappy neighbor dog, please stop barking in the middle of the day. I know the rest of the world is awake, but I'm desperately trying to sleep for work. Yappy yap yap. Ughh...

Awkward & Awesome & Almond Everything Pancakes

Didn't have much energy to cook. Thankful for good ol' bisquick. Here's a little spin off of plain pancakes. Andrew has informed me that I eat a TON of dairy. I do. Mostly too much cheese. We're working on limiting dairy and using alternatives here and there. So- I have been drinking more almond milk and soy milk. It's sure not the same, but I can't tell when cooking with it.

Almond Everything Pancakes
2 1/2 cups bisquick
1 1/4 cups almond milk
1/4 cup chopped almonds
blueberries
chocolate chips

Half were chocolate chip, half were blueberry. They were delicious!

PS- the A is for Andrew, not Almond...

Awkward
  • Being 5 hours into my 2nd shift and realizing my watch was still an hour behind from daylight savings. Oops...
  • Sleeping for 13 hours straight ... Thank you night shifts for terribly wearing me out.
  • Being woken up by Andrew from a nap and me freaking out (half asleep) that I didn't feed the baby. What baby? Then I come back to reality and realize that I've been dreaming about breastfeeding babies.... again...Weird? I know. Even weirder is how often I have these dreams. Seriously work, get out of my head on my time off please!
  • The fact that my husband knows way too much about the actress "Anna" from Downton Abbey. Like how old she is, etc. He has a mini crush on her...  I don't blame him, I like her too! It got really awkward when I tried to speak like her in an English accent. He didn't think it was very cute... or sexy...  he just laughed at me. I'll take it!
  • Being peed all over by one of the newborns at work. Further solidified why I prefer wearing hospital issued scrubs.
  • The Bachelor. Courtney & Ben. Enough said.
Awesome
  • These pancakes. Yum.
  • Getting to catch up with my friend Sam!
  • Having 3 nights off. Praise the Lord- I need them.
  • The fact that my hubby has somewhat of a free weekend. Date day on Saturday! I don't care if it's raining horses and dinosaurs outside, I can't wait!
  • A great message at church last week. Can't wait for this Sunday's message!
  • Walking into one of my Antepartum patient's rooms and her exclaiming how glad she was to see me and happy that I was her nurse that night. I'd only had her once the week prior. Brightened my day. I think God knows how to keep me motivated and positive at work.
  • Hearing my hubby laugh in his sleep.
Happy Friday!

March 8, 2012

That's Awkward...

"Carleen... I don't have any photos for this morning's blog post. Let's be awkward!" Thanks girly!
Just enough time for a bathroom break at work! I've got to start emptying my bladder more frequently!

Baby Shower invites all printed & distributed. Before I decided I wanted to be a nurse, graphic design was my career interest...

 Awesome
  • One of my patient/families called me their 'angel' last week. How could that not feel good?
  • Taking a dance workout class with Catherine. We salsa'd & even did some African dancing! My left calf is very sore.... just the left one... strange.
  • Cuddling up together & starting the Downton Abbey 1st season with my hubsters. I love every moment I can get with him.
  • I have planned a summer vacation that I'm quite thrilled about & even better, so is Andrew! I'll share at some point, but just know that I can't wait!
  • Being surprised with amazing dinners every night before work last week by Andrew. Seriously? He's amazing.
  • As I've already mentioned in yesterday's post. We're moving! To celebrate, I just made a purchase for some wall art that I've been eying to go in our new place. I'll find any reason for celebration or to justify buying some new decor...

Awkward
  •  Ordered my usual 'energizer' for work this weekend: iced non fat white mocha with light whip (except not from my usual place). No whip on my drink. Hey! I like the whip! "Pardon me, I ordered light whip, would you mind adding some for me?" Response: "Oh, well you said you wanted non-fat, so I assumed that means no whip. At least for most people it does." Wham. Sure made me feel silly. "Well, they cancel each other out in my mind. Thanks!" And I chuckle all the way up to my unit. Now I'm self conscious when ordering whip on my skim-milked drink...
  • Who's that crazy girl driving extremely slow in the gym parking garage around and around? She's annoying everyone behind her (long line has formed). Oh, now she pulled off to the side and excitingly ran out of the car to pick something up off of the ground. Ohhh, right.... that's me. Yep, I somehow dropped my validated parking ticket somewhere before getting to my car. No way to pay to get out. Who brings a wallet to the gym anyway?  Only way out: find the ticket! After circling a few times, I spied it and I was set free! Woot woot!
  • The guy in front of me in line at Costco acting unusually friendly and trying very hard to start up conversation... until he awkwardly & very obviously spotted the ring on my finger. The convo took a 180 degree turn. It was quite humorous. Thanks for making me laugh Costco 2-item buyer (who only buys 2 items when at costco? That takes some serious focus), best of luck to you!
  • Getting called into work on my mandatory standby shift without knowing I was on call.... awesome way to start my stretch at work. Not. Thankfully, the instant I walked onto the unit, I was asked to go "catch a baby" at a c-section (I have heard that people think that I literally catch the baby... just to clarify, the baby is handed directly to me by the doc or whoever and I go from there. Though it does take some skill to keep hold of the slippery newborn as I'm sure you can imagine without me going into details)... ooooookkkk, here's where the adrenaline kicks in & thankfully remained with me for the remainder of my busy shift that I had not prepared for (i.e. sleep).
I'm thankful for awkward moments in my life as they are constant humility checks!

That about wraps it up!

February 23, 2012

Awesome & Awkward... & Avacados Too

What do you guys think of my new title banner? After more than a week of trying to figure it out on my own and reaching poor results (I'm stubborn), I finally found this awesome website with a clear video tutorial! I added my own touches of course, but this explained the process nicely.

Click HERE to see the easy to follow & short video tutorial using Photoshop.

In other news, here are a few awkwards and awesomes from the last week:

Awesome
  • Getting positive feedback from a patient & finding it in the staff weekly updates. Always nice to hear good things!
  • Trying a Pilates class with my friend Catherine yesterday. Great workout! Is it weird that through all of the hip workout part I had "Hips Don't Lie" Shakira song stuck in my head? Mostly because my hips were huuuurrrrttting sooo bad. I was wishing my hips were lying to me at that point...
  •  Lunch date with PLU friends! We ate at Little Big Burger on Mississippi in NE Portland. Perfectly portioned burgers and fairly priced. If you like salty fries- this is your place. Great news- they are opening a store near by! Great date night place- can't wait!
  • Dinner with our friend Tyson (you may remember him from the unicycling post) . Best loaded nachos I've ever had!
  • Getting to spend time in God's Word and being reminded why I need this every day. God is good and His Word is alive.
  • Getting to grab a quick dinner out with Andrew. We went to Mexican food of course- but this time I had nothing to do with it! He picked all on his own! This must be a first...
Awkward
  •  Gaining weight since I've had my gym membership... muscle? Or is it all of the avacados I've been eating? You can't just eat half of one- the rest goes bad. Andrew doesn't eat them... that leaves me to eat the whole thing! Whoa... I know. Also doesn't help that I'd probably choose to have an avacado tree in my backyard over a money tree or that I keep buying costco packs of them. They are soooooo good. At least they help combat cholesterol- Good ol' HDL.
  •  Having my water glass slip completely from my grasp at a restaurant to make a loud BOOM on the table.. oops! It was slippery!
  • When the lady at the local food market asked if I'd like a bag for the two ice cream containers that were freezing my hands off, I answered, "yes, paper please." After an odd look from the gal, Andrew reminded me that we are in Portland and paper is the only option. In addition, she didn't ask which type of bag, but rather, if I'd like one at all (as she holds the paper bag out in front of me). Blonde moment? Sometimes I forget I live in such an environmentally-conscious place. I'm surprised they even offer paper bags...
  • Sitting through an entire 3 hr CPR renewal class and afterword finding out that it didn't count for me (complicated to explain... I fixed it and I'm all good now). Long story short, don't ever try to get certified through anything but American Heart Association. Not sure why the last 2 hospitals I was employed at didn't catch the issue...
  • Completely messing up Nurse staffing for the following shift by taking a sick call message. Who knew we had an RN and a tech with extremely similar names... Can we get a "name alert" on these two please...  now I know...
Hope you all have had a great week so far!

Awkward & Awesome/Exciting

Awkward
  • For starters, this statue in the Houston International Airport is just weird. I couldn't help but laugh when I saw it both arriving and departing. Dear Houston Astronaut Texan Pride Cow, thank you for the warm welcome and fine farewell.
  • The Asian lady that did my nails pointing to my eye brows and saying something along the lines of "you need eye brows done." Awesome, thanks.
  • Being the only one to show up to my first ever Yoga class. Thankfully another gal showed up late. Got a great workout and the instructor was "impressed with my flexibility."Still strange to just have 2 people in a class. I was hoping to just blend in and follow along...
  • The odd smell coming from our fridge when opened... for the last 2 weeks. We threw out all old food & smelt everything else (Andrew has individually picked each item up and smelt it to investigate- no luck). Gross, I know... anyone who wants to investigate is welcome! We'll buy you dinner!!!!
 Awesome/Exciting
  • Reading 3 books in a week! This is far more than a record in my life. I hate to jump on the bandwagon, but seriously- the Hunger Games series is worth the read. Best way to travel is with a good book!
  • Enjoying nearly a whole week with two very important people in my life (my Aunt and Grandma). Thanks for having me!
  • Seeing if I could get through my grocery shopping with only healthy things in my cart. I made it until the very end when Valentines frosted cookies were staring me in the face near the check out stand. I gave in... but that was all! I'm excited to have a kitchen full of fresh, healthy, delicious food to eat.
  • Seeing my hubby after a week of not seeing him. He always knows how to make me smile. I was even very impressed to find the apartment quite clean after boys weekend. Love it!
How great is this? My Aunt has the cutest house- perfectly decorated. The best part is-- all decor is personal and important in one way or another. I loved looking at these old photos during my stay at her place.

    February 2, 2012

    Awkwards & Awesomes

This photo has nothing to do with this post, but how adorable is this house!?! Reminds me of the show Full House. I'd like to move in right now (house in NW Portland near 23rd st).

    Awkward/ "Bummer Dude"
    • Finding out that the Hubs and I can't take our summer dream vacation (Alaskan Cruise)... It's a long story. But, we're now hunting for inexpensive vaca options anywhere in the US. Any favorite spots?
    • Being sick this week. Ick.
    • Finding an overdue electricity bill in a random shelf in our apartment... oops!
    •  Realizing that I haven't crafted in nearly 2 weeks! What!?? Ok, I chose doing house work instead. Probably a good choice.
    • Having no motivation to cook fancy meals besides the usual mexican food (my friends know... mexi food seriously makes up 70% of my food intake).  Problem? Eh...
    • Working in a different role at my job for the first time in ~7wks... Whew! It's nice to be working with whole families again (mom's & their babies & Dad's, etc...). Just took me a while to get back in the swing of things. {I've been in our expanded care nursery with the sick babies every shift for a long time! I love it there, but it's nice to keep up on my adult skills too.}
I think this is awesome.... you may think it's awkward
    • Successfully inserting a catheter!!! You have no idea how excited I was.... As was my patient. Ok, I admit, I'm AWFUL with inserting catheters. I just have not been successful at them. Maybe it's because I'm dealing with women who have just given birth (Sorry Dad & those who can't handle medical stuff. Stop reading this point here). Things are a little bit different down in that direction while & after being pregnant. The target is very difficult to see. Sometimes worse is elderly GYN patients... Anatomy changes... Ok, enough, you get the picture. After inserting successfully on the 1st attempt, my patient said, "Whew, I didn't think you were going to get it! I'm so relieved!" I told her that I was equally relieved.... didn't think I would either. Honesty is the best policy- after performing the procedure that is!

    Awesome/ Exciting
    • Getting my vacation request granted. Now we just need to chose somewhere to vacation!
    • Andrew surprising me with tickets to Wicked in March. Can't wait!
    • A clean house... mmmmh love it.
    • Finding a quilting shop that has lessons. I'm thinking about taking a class.
    • Getting my nails done with Shellac. Once gone Shellac, there's no going back!
    • Miscellaneous friend dates (Renee, Alex, Katie, Kaitlyn.... LOVED seeing you guys).
    • Keeping up with my goal of not buying clothes for 3 months. 1 month down and no cravings!
    • Flirting with my hubs. I hope when we're 50 we can still flirt with each other here and there... He sure makes me smile.
    • Watching Andrew play soccer with his med school indoor soccer team. It is especially enjoyable when he plays keeper and dances to the music. That's my man!

Happy Thursday & thanks for stopping by!
